The type of Personal information we collect:

We currently collect and process the following information:

We do not collect addresses, dates of birth or other Personal information. We will not ask you for this, it is not necessary for our operation.
We may collect Personal information due to your whisky entries. For example, in your Tastings you may enter an address in “Location Tasted”. Considering this tasting can be shared, DramShed.com takes no responsibility for data voluntarily posted and shared within the user’s personal space at DramShed.com.
How we get the personal information and why we have it:
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- So we can understand you as a user, for example your age, gender and whisky experience, so that we can build up datasets to understand whisky preferences, based on these demographic details.
- So we can develop future usability to recommend whisky to you, based on this information.
We use the information that you have given us in order to:
- Accurately understand how age, gender and experience impacts one’s whisky tasting experiences.
- Use this information for marketing purposes.
- We will not share your name with any other third party.
We may share the user demographic information with:
- Commercial partners, such as whisky producers / resellers / vendors.

Your information is securely stored.
We keep the personal data for the duration of your membership. We will then dispose of your information by erasing it from the database.

Relevant information is a necessary part of DramShed.com, particularly around recommending whisky to the user.
For example, if we see that somebody from a Marketing Services Agency has downloaded content from our website, we may try and contact you as it would be reasonable to assume you may have an interest in our services.

DramShed.com does not collect, or have the facility for collecting any “Personal Data” falling into “Special Categories” (for example race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation etc.).

We have security procedures to prevent your personal data from being used or accessed in an unauthorised way, destroyed, lost or accidentally disclosed. We limit access to your personal data to administrators who have a DramShed.com related need-to-know.
Any suspected personal data breach will be reported (a reminder we collect no dates of birth, addresses or other identifiable personal information, other than your name (optional) and email address), we will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are under legal obligation to do so.
